By using this website and placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Products and availability

All products are subject to availability. We may change or discontinue products at any time. We try to show our products as accurately as possible, but colours and packaging may vary slightly from the photos, and as a natural product, the taste and appearance of cacao can vary between batches.

Pricing and payment

• All prices are in GBP (£). Delivery charges are shown at checkout.

• We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

• Payment must be made in full when you place your order.

• If a product is shown at the wrong price because of an obvious error, we will contact you before dispatch to let you choose whether to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Orders

• After you place an order, you will receive an email confirming we have received it.

• We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock, there is a pricing error or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you have paid, we will give you a full refund.

Discount codes

Discount codes, including our welcome discount, are limited to one use per customer unless stated otherwise, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be applied to orders already placed. We may withdraw or change offers at any time.

Delivery

Delivery is handled in line with our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to factors outside our control.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel and return items are set out in our Refunds & Returns Policy. Please read it before buying.

Health and dietary information

Our products are food products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Information on this website, including about our cacao rituals, is for general interest only and is not medical advice. We are not doctors or nutritionists.

Ceremonial cacao is a concentrated food that naturally contains theobromine and a small amount of caffeine. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a heart condition or high blood pressure, are taking medication (particularly antidepressants such as MAOIs or SSRIs), or have any health concerns, please speak to your doctor before using it. Cacao is toxic to dogs, cats and other pets, so please keep it out of their reach.

Please check the product label for ingredients and allergen information before use. Our products may be packed in an environment that also handles nuts, milk and other allergens.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, photos, logos and designs, belongs to The Cacao Company or is used with permission, and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any of your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
